The new chiral HPLC column from DAICEL
CHIRALPAK®
a series of polysaccharide-derived chiral chromatographic columns from DAICEL compatible with ranges of organic miscible solvents. This new immobilised chiral stationary phase shows a unique solvent flexibility & excellent chiral recognition ability
CHIRALPAK® IA is the first in a new series of columns that has been prepared using a novel immobilization technology that results in a completely solvent-stable CSP. These columns retain the high selectivity and versatility of the existing range of Daicel columns. Rapid chiral separations with longer column lifetime and excellent selectivity are now possible with this immobilized polysaccharide column.

CHIRALPAK IA expands the application coverage of polysaccharide supports & broadens the choice of solvents to be used as mobile phases and/or sample solvents

The immobilisation of polysaccharide derivatives on a matrix has been considered as an evolutionary approach to implement universal solvent compatibility on these highly selective chiral stationary phases (CSPs) for enantioseparation.

CHIRALPAK IB, the second member of the series, is now commercially available.

The chiral selector in CHIRALPAK IB is of the same nature as the CHIRALCEL OD ie tris(3,5-dimethylphenylcarbamate) derivatised cellulose. Whereas CHIRALCEL OD is made by a physical coating of the polymer on silica gel, chiral selector is immobilised on the support CHIRALPAK IB

For acids & amino acid derivatives

CHIRALPAK QD-AX and CHIRALPAK QN-AX are designed specifically for the enantioselective resolution of chiral acids by HPLC and SFC.
